Erika is a clinical psychotherapist specializing in Women's and Perinatal Health. She received her Bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University and Master’s degree from University of Maryland School of Social Work. Her career began as a Social Worker at the Johns Hopkins Center for Fetal Therapy where she would help families navigate the emotional and social impact of complicated prenatal diagnoses. She later joined SilverLeaf Counseling in Anne Arundel County in 2018 to continue her work in perinatal mental health. In 2022, Erika started Valley Wellness and has remained committed to providing quality care to all.
Erika has spent 8 years helping many families journey through difficult pregnancies, making difficult choices during pregnancy, perinatal mood disorders, traumatic losses and infertility. In addition to perinatal health, Erika also helps women through mood and anxiety disorders unrelated to pregnancy.
Her preferred therapeutic technique is solution-focused therapy. Erika believes that every patient has the solutions within themselves, it is her job to help you recognize and implement them.
